Legal Specialist (Pharmaceutical/Healthcare)

Key Responsibilities Review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements supporting business operations. Partner with internal stakeholders to provide practical legal advice on commercial and day-to-day legal matters. Conduct legal research and monitor regulatory developments impacting the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Collaborate with senior legal counsel on strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives. Coordinate with external legal counsel on legal matters and dispute management. Contribute to legal training initiatives and continuously improve internal legal processes. Required Skills and Qualifications Experience: Approximately 2-5 years of experience within a law firm or corporate legal department. Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts. Experience supporting corporate legal, compliance, or commercial matters. Bachelor's degree or higher in any discipline. Strong understanding of commercial legal principles and legal documentation. Experience using legal research tools and working within corporate legal processes is advantageous. Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Strong analytical thinking and practical problem-solving abilities. Proactive, curious mindset with a willingness to learn the healthcare industry. Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders across functions. Capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Language Requirements: Japanese: Native level. English : Business level, with confidence in reading, drafting, and negotiating legal documents. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry. Knowledge of Japanese healthcare regulations or competition law. Experience working in an international or English - speaking business environment.
