About the Role: You will lead project and program management teams delivering complex, high-visibility initiatives that drive business outcomes for FIS and our clients. In this role, you will set direction, strengthen delivery practices, and ensure projects achieve agreed scope, quality, cost, and timeline commitments. You will work across technical and non-technical functions, influencing senior stakeholders and resolving complex delivery challenges. Success in this role is measured by execution excellence, strong governance, predictable delivery, and high-performing teams. What You Will Be Doing: Lead project and program management teams to deliver complex initiatives with clear business outcomes and measurable value. Establish delivery strategies, governance, and work plans that align resources, timelines, budgets, and quality expectations. Oversee project portfolios, monitoring risks, dependencies, execution health, and delivery performance across multiple workstreams. Build strong partnerships with senior leaders, clients, and cross-functional teams to align priorities and drive decisions. Define and improve project management standards, controls, and operating rhythms to increase consistency and delivery predictability. Guide managers and project leaders through complex planning, change control, issue resolution, and stakeholder communications. Ensure effective budget management, capacity planning, and resource allocation across competing priorities and delivery needs. Use data, reporting, and delivery metrics to identify trends, course-correct execution, and improve outcomes. Coach and develop project management talent, strengthening capability, accountability, and team performance. Support continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, implementing practical solutions, and embedding best practices. What you will need: Effectively bilingual in Japanese language (minimum JLPT N2) and English . Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum 10+ years of relevant project or program management experience, including 2+ years leading people managers, supervisors, or project teams. Demonstrated experience leading project or program management teams delivering large, complex, high-risk initiatives. Strong knowledge of project management frameworks, governance, lifecycle methodologies, and delivery controls. Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and quality across multiple projects. Experience influencing senior stakeholders and communicating clearly across business, technical, and client-facing audiences. Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, performance management, delegation, and team development. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, conflict management, and decision-making skills in complex environments. Advanced skills in project planning, forecasting, reporting, and project management tools and dashboards. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or comparable project management credential. Experience in financial services, fintech, payments, banking, or capital markets environments. Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models across business and technology initiatives. Experience establishing PMO practices, delivery governance, and portfolio reporting.
