Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business and has significant impact across the lifecycle of a Trade. We partner extensively with a range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with our external client base, playing a key role in the overall client experience. We have a Client relationship group dedicated to overseeing the group service performance and strategic partnership for our top tier client base, where we play a key role in supporting our global clients to ensure they have a first class experience when doing business with Citi. Our roles entail ensuring we operate in a robust control environment, whilst in a fast-paced workplace. We comply with global regulations and internal policies and adopt a proactive approach to identifying opportunities to reduce risk through the continuous evaluation of our controls; to protect our clients, the firm and our reputation. We work closely with our external global peers, partners and regulators, and play an integral part in leading an agenda at the forefront to optimize and streamline processes, and drive strategy across our industry. Job Purpose: C10 level role within the Fixed Income Cash Sales Middle Office in Japan who supports Fixed Income Sales activities (Rates, Credit, Muni, Mortgage, Derivatives) The team is based across Tokyo and Okinawa and has global exposure Handle multiple BAU tasks at a time; ensure trades are booked correctly, ensure trade confirmations are sent timely, work with our clients and business acting as point of contact to resolve any queries in collaboration with regional / global and internal/ external stakeholders Recommend solutions to resolve complex issues Utilize data analysis tools and methodologies, in conjunction with professional judgement to make process improvement recommendations Participate in the implementation of assigned projects, including new products, services and upgrades to platforms Provide informal guidance, and/or on the job training to new team members As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure: Bachelor’s/University degree 3 years+ of relevant experience in Fixed Income or Equity Cash Sales Middle Office, or Fixed Income Settlement Operations (preferred) Demonstrated comprehension of Fixed Income (preferred) Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive Strong, influential communicator who is articulate and concise, demonstrated success interacting with stakeholders in the business as well as the Operations, and Technologies Strong risk management and control mindset Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented Japanese: native or business level for both writing and speaking where client service can be provided English : business level Job Family Group: Operations - Transaction Services Job Family: Securities and Derivatives Processing Time Type: Full time Most Relevant Skills Please see the requirements listed above.
